Care notes
The Candy Pipefish has a striking appearance with alternating red and yellow bands and a long slender body. It is peaceful and slow-moving, best kept in mature reef aquariums with low to moderate water flow and an established population of copepods or other live microfauna. They often hover close to the substrate or among coral branches. Due to their weak swimming ability, strong currents should be avoided. Candy Pipefish may also accidentally bump into corals and anemones, so avoid placing them with species that have strong stings. They are best kept singly or as a bonded pair.
