The Mustard Gas Betta is a striking color variation of the Betta splendens, known for its bold contrast and vivid hues. This variety typically features a deep blue or teal body paired with vibrant yellow or orange fins—resembling the colors of a gas flare, which inspired its name. Males are especially eye-catching, with wide, flowing fins and intense saturation. Their Halfmoon or Delta tail shapes often make them appear even more dramatic when flared.
