The female Halfmoon Betta is a freshwater tropical fish known for her vibrant colors and distinct 180-degree tail spread when flared. While not as flamboyant as males, female Halfmoons still display striking hues—ranging from blues, reds, purples, and metallics—with elegant, symmetrical fins. They have a sleeker body shape and shorter fins compared to males, but are equally captivating and often more active.
