The Blackback Butterfly is a striking species with a yellow outlined body, a black spotted pattern that trails up the side with a solid black eye mask. It thrives in fish-only with rock tanks, requiring plenty of live rock for grazing and shelter. This species needs a varied diet of meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped seafood. Not reef safe, as it may nip at corals and sessile invertebrates. Best suited for intermediate to experienced aquarists due to its active nature and specific care needs.
