Care Notes: The Fumanchu Lionfish is a small and unusual species named for the long, whisker-like appendages near its mouth. It has a reddish-orange body with bold striping and eye-like spots on its dorsal fin. Native to the Indo-Pacific, it prefers tanks with plenty of caves and subdued lighting. This species is shy and may be slow to start feeding, usually requiring live or frozen meaty foods. It will eat small fish and invertebrates. Like all lionfish, it has venomous spines. It can be kept with coral but not with crabs, shrimp, or small fish.
