Tiger Barb - Puntius tetrazona

Probably the most recognizable barb there is, and the main reason for barbs bad reputation! To avoid fin nipping they are best kept in shoals of 8 or more. They swim in the middle of the aquarium and appreciate lots of swimming space with plants real or artificial on the outskirts.
