Cory Pepper

Cory Pepper
Our price: £4.25

The Peppered Cory (Corydoras paleatus), also known as the Pepper Catfish, is a hardy and peaceful freshwater catfish loved for its speckled pattern and lively bottom?dwelling behaviour. One of the most popular Corydoras species, it is well suited to community aquariums and ideal for both beginner and experienced fishkeepers.

Peppered Corys are social schooling fish and should be kept in groups, where they display natural foraging behaviour and increased confidence. They spend most of their time sifting through the substrate in search of food, making them an active and engaging addition to the lower levels of the aquarium. A soft sand or smooth gravel substrate is recommended to protect their sensitive barbels.

This species adapts well to a wide range of freshwater conditions and thrives in well?maintained tanks with gentle filtration, plants, and hiding areas. Peppered Corys readily accept sinking pellets, wafers, and frozen foods, helping them maintain good health and activity.
