Albino Head and Tail Light / albino Beacon Tetra (Hemigrammus ocellifer)

The Albino Head and Tail Light Tetra (Hemigrammus ocellifer) is a peaceful and elegant freshwater fish known for its shimmering body and distinctive reflective spots near the head and tail. These markings create a “headlight and taillight” effect, making this species a striking addition to community aquariums.

This tetra thrives in groups and displays its best colours and natural behaviour when kept in schools of six or more. Its calm temperament makes it an excellent choice for community tanks alongside other peaceful tropical fish, dwarf cichlids and bottom-dwelling species.

The albino variety offers a lighter, more radiant appearance than the standard form while retaining the active swimming behaviour that makes Head and Tail Light Tetras popular with aquarists. They are particularly effective in planted aquariums where their reflective markings stand out against lush green backgrounds.
