Care Notes: The Red Spotted Hawk is a colorful hawkfish native to the Indo-Pacific. It has a pale body covered with red spots and distinctive markings around the eyes. This species prefers tanks with plenty of live rock for perching and hiding. It is semi-aggressive and may defend its territory. It feeds on small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp and brine shrimp. Suitable for reef tanks with caution due to territorial behavior and the likelihood of it eating smaller invertebrates.
